I can't recommend this dojo or Sensei enough!
First, everyone is very kind. I have met so many amazing people here. We are all family to each other.
Second, Sensei is extremely knowledgeable in multiple fields, not just karate. She brings her experience from kickboxing into the lessons so we have very in depth lessons that help in all areas of karate.
Third, the dojo is great. It's very spacious, so we have plenty of area to move around in. I love the multiple punching bags as well. It's great being able to use them.
Fourth, I love this style of karate. The katas are very beautiful and I particularly like this style of fighting.
I would recommend everyone to come here.
Great place! I love and look forward to improving skills at the dojo and outside of the dojo. Learning Kyokushin has helped me with PTSD as a coping mechanism.
Full contact karate isn't well known in the area. That being said, Mizukagami Dojo is the place to learn more about it. Sophia Sensei is a knowledgeable and skilled instructor! She has a wide variety of experience, and will help you with your goals, be it getting back into shape or learning to defend yourself.
